Recent ATV Activities
There has been a recent increase of ATV activity on the streets of Mills Branch.
Just a reminder, it is against the law for anyone, of any age, to ride ATVs, dirt bikes or go-carts on a public street in the City of Houston. It is also against the law to ride on the drainage ditch located that runs through Mills Branch. There are signs posted at the ditch noting it is against the law. It is not only against the law, but very unsafe to ride these ATV's on our busy streets.
It is the responsibility of all parents to ensure that their juvenile children are not doing this. We as citizens and parents need to carefully watch for this before someone is seriously injured or killed.
We recommend to all our citizens to be on the lookout for these ATV's on our streets. If you know a parent who is allowing their juvenile child to ride on the street, we ask that you remind them that it against the law and very dangerous.
If you observe this activity, we ask that you call the Houston Police Department at 713-884-3131. Let us keep our streets safe for all Mills Branch residents.
Package Deliveries
Watch out for your FEDEX and UPS package deliveries. Unfortunately, we have reports of numerous thefts from the front door entry way.
Recent Report of Vehicle Burglary
Over the last few months there have been a rash of vehicle burglaries in our neighborhood. Almost all of the thefts have involved parked cars with their doors unlocked. The MBV crime watch committee would like to remind all residents to lock their cars, especially if left on the street, and keep your garage doors closed and locked.
